Based on a credible input regarding presence of War Like Stores in general area B Phainom in Thoubal district of Manipur, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police launched a joint Cordon and Search operation on 17 February 24 and recovered one 81mm Improvised Mortar, one Single Barrel Rifle, two grenades, ammunition and other War Like Stores. The recovered items have been handed over to Police.
