BSF ORGANIZES PRE-RECRUITMENT TRAINING FOR OPPORTUNITIES IN CAPF FOR LOCAL YOUTHS IN BORDER VILLAGES

In a proactive effort to educate and empower eligible youths from border villages about various opportunities and recruitment processes within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), 8 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) under the South Bengal Frontier conducted a month-long pre-recruitment training.

Commencing on February 1, 2024, at the Dattafulia Border Outpost, the training concluded on February 28, 2024. A total of 25 youths from villages including Kulgaachi, Kanibamni, Havaspur, Duttapulia, Narayanpur, and Mansahati participated in the training and successfully completed the pre-recruitment training.

The BSF personnel conducted the training at the Dattapulia Border Outpost for four consecutive weeks. Participants underwent physical fitness training, including a 5-kilometer run, along with yoga and various exercises aimed at enhancing physical endurance. Additionally, they were prepared for written examinations covering subjects such as mathematics, science, general knowledge, and English, and also conducted mock tests. Detailed information about the comprehensive recruitment process was also provided, along with special meals also provided for all participants.

The concluding ceremony witnessed the presence of the participants’ parents, village heads, and members. Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the initiative taken by the BSF, villagers highlighted the significance of such training programs in fostering employment opportunities for youth. They emphasized that this initiative marked the beginning of such training programs in the region and expressed hope for continued support, believing that ongoing training programs would significantly aid youth in securing employment opportunities.

 A.K Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer of the South Bengal Frontier stated that such training sessions not only serve as informative youth awareness sessions but also instill a sense of empowerment among local youths, inspiring them to consider careers in the armed forces. This initiative by the BSF signifies a step towards building a stronger, more cohesive, and united community, dedicated to contributing positively to the overall welfare of the region.
