ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM ON THEME “FOSTERING CONNECTIONS ACROSS GENERATIONS”
Assam Rifles organized “Fostering connections across generations” at Old Age Home, Chassad, District Kamjong, Manipur.
This endeavor aims at providing compassionate care and support to the elderly inhabitants of the local old age home in Kamjong with the primary objective to provide companionship and emotional sustenance to the elderly residents, fostering understanding and empathy across different age groups. Ninety-seven elderly individuals attendee the event which included interactive sessions, followed by a lunch, and the distribution of essential commodities, including food items. This initiative sought to cultivate a positive relationship between the Assam Rifles and the elderly populace of the locality.
Assam Rifles have displayed its commitment towards the elderly segment of the society thereby bridging hearts & creating lasting bonds. The elderly residents of Old Age Home expressed their gratitude for organising such a compassionate program amidst the prevailing unrest & tensed situation in the state.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED FRIENDLY VOLLEYBALL MATCHES IN SORDE VILLAGE, KAMJONG, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles showcased their commitment and proactive approach to connect with the local community by organizing friendly volleyball matches for the residents of Sorde village in the Kamjong district of Manipur.
The residents of Sorde village enthusiastically joined in the friendly volleyball matches. A total of 68 civilians, including members of the Sorde village volleyball team, attended the event. The village team emerged victorious in the final match, winning three out of five sets played. Following the match, the Company Commander of Sorde Company Operating Base engaged in conversations with the villagers. The event was followed by refreshments to all the participants and the audience.
The village authorities and residents expressed their keen appreciation to the Security Force for organizing such an enjoyable and interactive event. They pledged their wholehearted support and cooperation to the Security Forces.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES MOTIVATIONAL LECTURE ON “IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION AND SPORTS” AT ST VINCENT SCHOOL, ZOLDAM VILLAGE, CHANDEL DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles conducted a motivational lecture on “Importance of Education and Sports” at St Vincent School, Zoldam Village (near Indo-Myanmar Border), Chandel District on 29 April 2024.
In keeping with the undeterred efforts of Assam Rifles to reach out to the youth of the region, a lecture was conducted with for approx 300-350 teachers, students and parents in the school, wherein the importance of formal education and regular physical activities through games and sports was impressed upon the keen attendees.
The Village Authorities, School Staff as well as the students & their parents appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for conducting such an informative and motivating lecture for the students.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT SANGAIKOT VILLAGE, CHURACHANDPUR
Assam Rifles organised a cleanliness drive to promote hygiene & disease free living in Sangaikot village of Churachandpur district, Manipur on 27 April 2024.
This event was aimed at promoting cleanliness awareness in rural areas as an endeavour to motivate and encourage the local populace to keep their surroundings clean and litter free thus resulting in a disease free society. A total of 14 villagers participated in the cleanliness drive.
ANAL ARMED FORCES VETERANS ASSOCIATION FELICITATES ASSAM RIFLES IN THANKS GIVING PROGRAM ORGANISED ON THE OCCASION OF COMPLETION OF ONE YEAR OF PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (S) participated in thanks giving programme organised by Anal Armed Forces Veterans Association to felicitate Assam Rifles on completion of one year of platinum jubilee celebration of the association at Beru Khudam Village, Chandel District on 28 April 2024.
The event was organised in commemoration of the completion of one year of platinum jubilee celebrations of the association wherein Assam Rifles had played a key role in the organisation of the event by providing assistance in administrative of the event and provisioning a vibrant band display, adding a touch of grandeur to the occasion. A total of 70 children and 400 villagers including ESMs were part of the event.
Under Operation Sadhbhavna, Assam Rifles has also undertaken the project for the construction of a community hall at Beru khudam Village and the initiative is a testament to the enduring healthy relations between Assam Rifles and the local communities.
The thanks giving program featured various cultural programs performed by students from the Anal tribe, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Assam Rifles was felicitated during the event highlighting the appreciation and gratitude of the local populace and veterans towards the force followed by interaction with the local populace and veterans, further strengthening the bond between the force and the community it serves. The event concluded with refreshments, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness amongst all participants.
