Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS celebrated Holi festival with great enthusiasm in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal with the Jawans of the 74 Battalion deployed at Border Outpost Hingalganj and Floating BOP in remote area of Sunderbans. He was accompanied by Additional Director General of BSF Eastern Command Ravi Gandhi, Inspector General of South Bengal Frontier Karni Singh Shekhawat and other senior officers. While celebrating the festival of colors with the Jawans at the border, he infused the atmosphere with enthusiasm and excitement and praised their unwavering dedication and devotion to the nation.
On the occasion of Holi, the Jawans played Holi with colorful flower petals and added enthusiasm to the celebration by singing patriotic songs. The festivities were marked by various cultural programs and Barakhana in which Jawans participated wholeheartedly, showcasing their spirit and unity. Celebration of Holi with the Director General uplifted the spirits and reinforced the morale of the Jawans. The Jawans said that presence of the Director General of the force makes this occasion truly unforgettable, leaving them with lifetime memories.
In his address to the Jawans, DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary praised this Holi celebration organized by 74 Battalion and its Commanding Officer, Manoj Kumar Rai. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the selfless dedication and devotion of the Jawans who, despite being away from their homes and families on the festive occasion continue to protect the borders of the nation. Extending his warm wishes to the Jawans and their families, the Director General acknowledged their unwavering commitment and honored them as true heroes of the nation. He hailed the festival of colors as a vibrant symbol of peace, unity and harmony, underscoring the vital importance of fostering brotherhood throughout the country.
