It symbolizes the diversity, unity, and prosperity of our country. It is the ultimate duty of all of us to protect and preserve Mother India.
In this connection, on August 11, 2023, the jawans of 118 Battalion and Border Outpost Atrosia, 35 Battalion under the South Bengal Frontier, together with the local people, various NGOs and school children in their area of ​​responsibility, celebrated Meri Mati Mera Desh and also planted different types of saplings under Ajaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Apart from this, jawans of 70 Battalion and 115 Battalion along with CISF organized an awareness program at NTPC Farakka Rabindra Bhavan.
The sacrifices of the martyrs were remembered in these programs and patriotic songs were sung for them. The families of the martyrs were also honored through the programme. Apart from this, the people who came there were also informed about smuggling, human trafficking, child marriage and social evils. In the programme, emphasis was also laid on drug free India.

A K Arya, DIG, Public Relation Officer, South Bengal Frontier informed that BSF organizes various programs in the border areas from time to time. Regarding the theme “Meri Mati, Mera Desh”, he stated that soil is the basic source of our country, which reflects the grandeur of our life and cultural heritage. That’s why it is very important for us to take a pledge to protect our soil.
