Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma on Monday said that Assam will supply oxygen to other northeastern states Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura.
Currently, Assam can produce 80 mt tonnes of oxygen against the requirement of 70 mt. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said the center has allocated 100 mt oxygen to Assam.
Chief Minister Sarma visited the Premier Cryogenics Limited’soxygen plant at Saukuchi on Monday and took the stock. He also told that the plant has responded to the request of the state government and will restart the production of oxygen. The plant can produce 14 mt oxygen per day and it will further improve its capacity once the second unit starts
functioning.
