BANGLADESHI STUDENT CROSSED INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY AFTER HAVING ALTERCATION WITH PARENTS, BSF APPREHENDED AND HANDED OVER TO BGB AS GOODWILL GESTURE

On January 16, 2022, at around 1130 hrs, the troops of Border Out Post Rajanagar, 117 Battalion noticed some suspicious activity in their area. The jawans on duty while taking action and apprehended a Bangladeshi national. They apprehended a Bangladeshi national who was identified as Mohammad Ashiq Ali (age 20 years), S/o- Mohammad Alamgir Ali, Village- Tongaon, Post- Chowini, PS-Katkhali, District- Rajshahi (Bangladesh).

Apprehended Bangladeshi citizen is a student of 11th class

During preliminary interrogation, the apprehended Bangladeshi national revealed that he is a student of class 11th. He further revealed that he had run away from home after a verbal fight with his parents and inadvertently crossed the International Boundary and entered Indian from Bangladesh. But as soon as he came into the Indian territory, he was apprehended by the BSF troops.

The apprehended Bangladeshi student has been handed over to the BGB as a goodwill gesture after holding a flag meeting.

The Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier stated that our jawans also keep a close eyes on illegal infiltrators along the International Border. Keeping in view the future of the apprehended Bangladeshi National (Student) by BSF and after being found not involved in any criminal activity, he has safely handed over to BGB, Bangladesh.
