The issue of price rise has always been a cause of concern over the last few years. Specially with COVID-19 pandemic affecting the entire economy at large, the price rise or inflation is seen across India!
Assam or Northeast is witnessing a massive price rise of essential commodities such as fruits, vegetables, medicines, etc. with petrol or diesel also being added to the list. This is concerning.
The state government has also faced protests from Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP), Raijor Dal, etc. against the price rise issue.
Protesters have taken to the streets with anti-government slogans and with demands to take measures to control it. It is true that price rise affects the life of common people to a major extent.
