On 20th September, 2022 at around 2330 hrs, on the basis of reliable information, troops of Border Out Post Solak, 107 Battalion under South Frontier, apprehended a smuggler with 3.5 kg of ganja. The smuggler was identified as Sofizul Dafadar, District Nadia.
During interrogation smuggler revealed that he had taken these ganja packets from Mehrani Bazar and was going to send it further to Bangladesh. The apprehended smuggler has been handed over to the Police Station Baghdah along with the confiscated goods.
The Commanding Officer of the 82 Battalion stated that the BSF jawans are always on their duty and trying to stop crimes like smuggling. Due to which some criminals are being apprehended and they are being punished according to the law.
