In a series of events to mark the 75th anniversary of Independence, a cycle rally of women mountaineers reached Malda. The cycle rally started from Kaman Aman Setu, Kashmir (Indo-Pak Border) on 6th December, 2022 and reached at ICP Mahadipur, 70 Battalion on 31st January, 2023 at 1430 hrs.
This cycle rally of women covered a distance of 2951 Kms in 45 days successfully. The cycle rally consisted of famous Indian cyclists Savita Mahato and Anamika Bisht.
The slogan of this cycle rally was “Ek Salaam Sipahiyon Ke Naam” and “Women Safety”. BSF officers and jawans gave a warm welcome to the cyclists, saluting their courage and spirit.
Rally participants said that this rally is dedicated to all the soldiers of our country and every woman of the country, who play an important role in the security and building of our country.
Commanding Officer 70 Battalion on the behalf of BSF presented memento to the members participating in the cycle rally. He extended best wishes to the woman cyclists from the force and officially declared the yatra over.
