To mark the closing ceremony of the 6th Rashtra Poshan Maah 2023, an elaborate recipe competition was conducted under the guidance of the CDPO Bomdila in the vibrant village of Pedung.
The program was graced by the Deputy Director ICDS West Kameng, an SMC member, along with other important members of the village. Four SHGs from Sera and Pedung villages, as well as four Anganwadi workers, participated.
Namchung SHG of Sera village claimed the 1st prize with their millet-based recipes focused mainly on children’s health and nutrition.
During this occasion, the DD West Kameng highlighted the main objective of conducting such recipe competitions at the village level, which is to promote the consumption of locally available food grains like millet.
