Assam Rifles Organised ‘‘ Vocational Training: Carpentry Workshop’’ at border villages of Laitlang, Zochachhua and Zorinpui in District Lawngtlai(Mizoram).
The Vocational Training of Carpentry commenced from 02 Oct 23 and culminated on 20 Oct 23. The carpentry training has been imparted to unemployed youths of far flung areas so as to make them skilled and enable them to earn livelihood. A total of 20 youth of Laitlang , Zorinpui and Zochachhua village were trained on carpentry skills .
The aim of this course is to create skilled individuals . Various types of modern equipment/tools meant for their training were used during the course for imparting practical training and awareness to participants about the trade skill. Study materials on latest trends were also provided to them to make them aware about the new techniques .
The training programme not only provided them professional skills on carpentry work but also provided them with essential carpentry tools for self-employment.
The local populace have expressed gratitude towards Assam Rifles for their efforts .
