October 31, 2023, South Bengal Frontier, BSF organized grand events titled “Run For Unity” and “Oath Taking Ceremony” at the Frontier headquarters, BSF, South Bengal Campus, New Town, Kolkata on the occasion of Rastriya Ekta Diwas with a strong focus on fostering unity and integrity within the nation.
In a symbolic gesture of solidarity and patriotism, Shri Mukesh Tyagi, DIG/PSO, administered the oath of Ekta Diwas to all Seema Praharis present, emphasizing the importance of unity and integrity in safeguarding the nation.
The highlight of the event was the 5-kilometer Run/Walkathon that Flagged off by Shri Mukesh Tyagi, DIG, PSO, South Bengal Frontier from the Frontier headquarters and winded through the picturesque surroundings of the BSF South Bengal Campus. This event saw a remarkable turnout of 263 troops, including dedicated Officers, Subordinate Officers, and Jawans. The participants exhibited unparalleled enthusiasm and a competitive sports spirit during the National Unity Run/Walkathon.
Similar National Unity Run/Walkathon were organized at all under-command Battalions and Sector Headquarters in South Bengal Frontier. These ceremonies aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and integrity among the BSF personnel and common peoples.
A.K Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier said that Run For Unity served as a platform for the BSF personnel to come together, not only to showcase their physical endurance but also to reaffirm their commitment to the safety and security of the nation. It underscored the BSF’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the unity and integrity of our country. The event received overwhelming support from the local community, who cheered on the participants along the route, fostering a sense of togetherness and unity among the citizens of country.
