ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS AN INTERACTION WITH VILLAGE AUTHORITIES IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles organized “An Interaction with Headmen/Village Authorities” of 25 Villages at Chassad, District Kamjong, Manipur. The meeting deliberated on the current security scenario and also dwelt upon several key topics including:
Providing coaching to students in 5th and 8th grades for entrance exams to Sanik School, Military School, and the Rashtriya Indian Military College.
Offering pre-training to local youth for enrolment into the Assam Rifles, other Central Police Forces and as Agniveer.
Conducting awareness campaigns to encourage locals to apply for government/private sector jobs under the UDAN project.
The Assam Rifles remains committed to development of communities, youth empowerment and to the restoration of peace and normalcy in Manipur. The participants expressed their gratitude for organising the event.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED TREE PLANTATION DRIVE IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles demonstrated their commitment to conserve the environment by conducting a tree plantation drive at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district of Manipur. 95 children, teaching and non-teaching staff from local schools and civilians participated in the tree plantation drive with great zeal and enthusiasm. With smiles on their faces and heart filled with gratitude, the children planted the saplings distributed to them. A total of 200 saplings were planted during the drive.
The civilians of Shangshak village expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the noble drive conducted by the Assam Rifles for saving the nature. This act for preserving the mother earth will remind these young minds about the importance of conserving our environment.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTED MEDICAL CAMP IN MANIPUR
Internally Displaced Personnel (IDP) including children of Serou Relief camp in Kakching district were facing challenges in respect of availability of proper medical care. Understanding the urgent requirement of providing medical facility for local populace, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp and provisioned 35 occupants with medicines, there by addressing emergent issues. The relief camp authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude recognizing the selfless commitment of the Assam Rifles to society.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS SECURITY MEET IN MANIPUR
Assam Rifles along with representatives of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) conducted a Security Meet with the village authorities at M Mollum Village, Churachandpur district of Manipur on 23 April 2024.
The meet witnessed a healthy participation of twenty one Village Chiefs / Village secretaries from Makhao, Leisan Tampak, Patzang, Pantha, G Songgel and other adjoining villages of Sangaikot Sub-Division. During the meet locals were sensitized and updated on current security situation existing in the area and were encouraged to align their efforts towards a common goal of peace and prosperity in the region. The said meet provided a platform to all concerned for brainstorming various security issues prevailing in the area, including career and growth prospects for the locals. The need to engage youth in sports, education and other meaningful activities was also adequately discussed in the said meet.
The attendees expressed their solidarity to fight the odds for keeping the area peaceful and safe. The villagers showed their keen interest to start the farming activities in the area. The Assam Rifles and CAPF representatives assured the security of villagers during farming.
ASSAM RIFLES KINDLES INSPIRATION IN YOUTH THROUGH MOVIE SCREENING AND MOTIVATIONAL LECTURE
In an effort to inspire the youth of Manipur, Assam Rifles organised a motivational lecture at B Bongjang village of Moreh on 23 April 2024.
This initiative brought together approximately 30-35 young boys from the neighboring villages of H Mongjang, B Bongjang and Jangnoi.
During the lecture manifold benefits of serving in the armed forces and various pathways for youth to join the armed forces were outlined. Through practical insights and real-world examples, the lecture aimed to kindle ambition and redirect the focus of these young minds towards constructive avenues. Following the lecture, attendees also enjoyed a motivational movie.
By uniting the youthful minds and sharing experience through interaction coupled with cinematic inspiration, the Assam Rifles hopes to plant the seeds of aspiration and empowerment, fostering a brighter future for the youth of Manipur. The local youths and villagers express their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for organizing such impactful event.
