BSF EVACUATES PATIENT SUFFERING FROM CHEST PAIN TO HOSPITAL AND GETS HIM TREATED, ALSO ORGANIZED A FREE MEDICAL CAMP

The incident took place on 20th February, 2023 at 5 am in the area of ​​Border Out Post Shikarpur under 86 Battalion. Udhir Sarkar (62) of Shikarpur village was in his house. Suddenly, he started having chest pain and felt difficulty in breathing, then the relatives sought help from the Shikarpur company commander. Without delay, the company commander sent a BSF ambulance with a nursing assistant to Udhir’s home. The patient was evacuated and admitted to Government Hospital, Karimpur. The patient is now out of danger.

The relatives expressed their gratitude to the Border Security Force and stated that if the BSF jawans had not helped at the right time, any untoward incident could have happened.

Free medical camp was also organized at village

The jawans of Border Out Post Shikarpur also organized a free medical camp from 10 am to 11 am. In which medical checkup of about 60 people from nearby villages was carried out and free medicines were also distributed to them.

The Commanding Officer of the 86 Battalion stated that BSF remains committed to its efforts to promote the welfare of the border residents and the communities around the border areas. These initiatives are a part of its commitment to fostering mutual trust and cooperation with the local communities.
