Assam Rifles paid tribute to Martyr of Dolaithabi village and distributed six 1.5 KV Generator Sets to the six villages of the area i.e. Nongsum, Chanung, Uyumpok, Keibi Relief Camp, Sekta and VPF of Sinam Kom area of Imphal East District.
Event was organised to pay tribute to Late Rfn (GD) Alok Rao who laid down his life in service of nation on 10 May 2023 in Dolaithabi area and foster a close bond between the local populace and the Assam Rifles.
The event started with hundreds of Meirapaibis of 36 Villages of Sawombung and Pukhao area paying floral tribute to the Braveheart Rifleman (L) Alok Kumar.
The event also witnessed patriotic songs by Meirapaibis as well as troops of Assam Rifles and finally culminated with the Distribution of the Six 1.5 KV Generator sets.
It is worth mentioning here that Assam Rifles has been continuously working day and night to maintain complete peace in Dolaithabi -Pukhao – Nongsum-Chanung- Sinam kom & Ishingthembi area and has been successful in bringing normalcy in these areas of Imphal East District.
