Along with the rest of the nation, the 75th Republic Day was celebrated at Buddha Park, Bomdila. The national flag was unfurled by the DC of Bomdila, Akriti Sagar, in the presence of SP Bomdila, former Minister, HODs, Administrative Officers, PRI leaders, students, and the general public.
While addressing the gathering, DC Bomdila highlighted the importance of celebrating Republic Day and also narrated the various initiatives of the District Administration for the overall development of the district.
Certificates of excellence were awarded to government employees, academic toppers, the best cultural troupes, the best parade contingent, the best exhibition stall, and others.
Various communities also participated by performing various cultural dances during the event.
In Rupa, ADC Rupa Lobsang Tsetan unfurled the national flag in the presence of a huge gathering. Among other things, the Indian Army unveiled weapons display. The grand band display and jazz band were highlights of the day. Bonhomie between the Army and civilians resonated throughout the celebrations.
The event was also celebrated in other ADC circles of West Kameng District.
