Two former BJP MLA of Tripura Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Kumar Saha join Congress today. News agency ANI reported it.
Sudip Roy Barman is the son of former Tripura CM Samir Ranjan Barman. He joined BJP in 2017.
Earlier he was a health minister Biplab Kumar Deb led the BJP government in Tripura. In 2019 he was dropped from the post of health minister.
Earlier on Monday both MLA resigned from BJP on Monday.
According to ANI post his entry into Congress, Sudip Roy Barman said, “Many MLAs are ready (to quit) but perhaps they want to wait for a few more months due to a technicality.
